CBL are pleased to announce General Availabilty of SELCOPY/i Release 1.70 for IBM mainframe z/OS, z/VSE and z/VM platforms.

SELCOPY now provides a feasible alternative to other copybook editing software for CBL customers to make substantial cost savings. The SELCOPY/i interface will continue to be enhanced to further extend its functionality, usability and value, allowing customers to make further cost savings.

To fully appreciate the capabilities of the SELCOPY/i environment, CBL strongly recommends our very popular, free of charge, WebEx demonstration.

 
Overview
z/OS:
  1. PL1 Copybooks in SDE (Structured Data Edit).
    Supports PL1 Copybook editing with structures.

  2. HFS/zFS/NFS Filesystem Support.
    SDE has been enhanced to support structured editing of HFS/zFS/NFS file systems.

  3. UNIX System Services CLI Commands.
    Introduces support for USS commands to assist with HFS/zFS File systems.

  4. FSU (File Search and Update).
    Search extended to include new HFS/zFS File Systems.
z/VSE:
  1. List Standard Labels.
    The contents of the VSE Standard Label Area has been enhanced to include additional information.
z/VM:
  1. SELCOPY/i 1.70 is a maintenance release fixing all known issues in 1.60.
All Systems:
  1. FAVOURITE Datasets/Commands Window.
    Provides an easy interface to commonly accessed commands and files, where users may store up to 99 favourite commands or files for exececution by entering the relevant entry number.

  2. LIST Window Enhancements.
    New prefix commands added, including support for '/' to display drop down menu of valid prefix commands and '>' to zoom in on the list item.

The new release of SELCOPY/i may be installed as part of the full CBL product bundle, which includes SELCOPY 2.02 and CBLVCAT 2.12. A separate upgrade bundle is also supplied for z/OS customers already using SELCOPY/i (CBLi) prior to release CBLi 1.70.
