CBL are pleased to announce General Availabilty of SELCOPY/i Release 1.80 for IBM mainframe z/OS, z/VSE and z/VM platforms.

SELCOPY provides a feasible alternative to other copybook editing software for CBL customers to make substantial cost savings. The SELCOPY/i Interface will continue to be enhanced to further extend its functionality, usablilty and value, allowing customers to make further cost savings.

Overview
z/OS:
  1. Multi-Volume Data Sets.
    SDE enhanced to support Multi-Volume Data Sets.
  2. FCOPY Utility.
    Supports copying from a data set of any DSORG/RECFM to a new or existing data set which may be of a different DSORG/RECFM.
  3. LIST Associations.
    New LAS command to list cataloged file Associations (e.g. Data, Index, GDG).
  4. COBOL & PL1 ADATA Support.
    Introduces support to generate an SDO (Structured Data Object) from an existing ADATA data set.
  5. LIST Window Command Prefix Area.
    The prefix Area has been increased to 8 characters width, enabling commands and personalised procedures to be executed against an entry on the list.
z/VSE:
  1. SELCOPY/i 1.80 is a maintenance release fixing known issues in 1.70.
z/VM:

The new release of SELCOPY/i may be installed as part of the full CBL product bundle, which includes SELCOPY 2.02 and CBLVCAT 2.12. A separate upgrade bundle is also supplied for z/OS customers already using SELCOPY/i prior to release SELCOPY/i 1.80.
