| SELCOPY Usage Policy
for Operating System Migration
While a SELCOPY for Mainframe licence or SELCOPY for iSeries,
UNIX or PC server licence remains in place,
customers migrating to a different
platform on which the SELCOPY product is
supported, may use the product on both platforms
on the strength of the original licence,
for a period not exceeding 12 months at
no extra cost, provided
a letter of authorisation has been obtained
from CBL.

|
| SELCOPY for PC Free
Licences
SELCOPY customers on Mainframe, AS400, UNIX
and PC server platforms are entitled to
use SELCOPY for Windows, at no extra cost,
on a specified number of PC workstations.
Although SELCOPY for Windows identifies
itself as SELCOPY/WNT in its listing output,
it is, however, compatible with all current
versions of Windows including XP and 2000.
The number of PC workstation licences
incorporated within licences for SELCOPY
Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX and PC Server is
based on the CBL Charge Group for the licensed
machine. For example, a Group 80 mainframe
would be entitled to 50 PC workstation licences.
Please see the Product
Pricing Schedule for further information.
If you are an existing SELCOPY user and
have not already received your password
for the Windows version, please email CBL
Technical Support (support@cbl.com) with
your name, company name and contact details
and with a subject line of "SELCOPY/WNT".

SELCOPY for IBM Mainframe
Maintenance
support for SELCOPY release 2.01 and earlier has
been discontinued. It is recommended that all
users upgrade to SELCOPY 2.02.
SELCOPY for IBM Mainframe is written in IBM
Mainframe Assembler, is currently linked as AMODE=24
and uses standard data management and system routines
throughout.
Fixes to SELCOPY 2.02 (referred to as ZAPs)
are produced to address specific problems and
possibly introduce minor new features into the
product.
The following table lists only those SELCOPY
ZAPs that are necessary for successful
execution on specific versions/releases
of each supported operating system. IBM
Mainframe Base Systems:
| Operating System |

For full maintenance to SELCOPY on Mainframe
platforms, please review and download the latest
SELCOPY 2.02 ZAPs from the
SELCOPY Technical Support page.
64-bit Architecture
No maintenance is required for SELCOPY to
execute successfully in a 64-bit system.
As for 31-bit environments, IBM has maintained
support for AMODE=24 Assembler programs in 64-bit
OS/390, z/OS and z/VM operating systems.
The following table, covering top of range
to bottom of range, is a sample
cross section of mainframe processors
and operating systems on which SELCOPY 2.02
is known to be operational.

SELCOPY for iSeries, UNIX and PC
Maintenance support for SELCOPY releases prior to 2.08 has been discontinued.
It is recommended that all users upgrade to SELCOPY 2.08.
SELCOPY for AS/400, UNIX and PC is written in the C++ Language.
Program fixes to SELCOPY for AS/400, UNIX and PC are provided as replacement SELCOPY
executables. From release 2.08 onwards, each new executable has an associated Build level.
Due to the nature of SELCOPY's operation and functionality, it is anticipated that an early
version of SELCOPY, installed by a user on a specific level of an operating system, will
continue to operate unchanged on a later level of that operating system. However, the
following table lists the recommended, minimum SELCOPY release and Build
Level for use on specific versions/releases of each supported operating system.
